  • Architectural Strategy: Established a new technical direction for the Studios Data Mesh, prioritizing developer experience, integration simplicity, and long-term scalability. Secured alignment from engineering leadership and influenced architectural decisions across more than 30 organizations.

  • Data Infrastructure: Led the evolution of a GraphQL-based data mesh, supporting more than 10 engineering teams and 100 business stakeholders through centralized access to critical Studios data.

  • Product Strategy: Spearheaded a cross-functional discovery initiative involving more than 40 participants, helping redefine product priorities, success metrics, and development processes.

  • Operational Excellence: Identified and drove improvements across more than 40 operational areas, introducing stronger review mechanisms, incident prevention practices, and correction-of-error processes.

Software Development Engineer II → Senior Software Development Engineer | January 2022 – February 2025

As a founding engineer and technical lead, I helped take a CEO-level initiative from concept to a globally scaled commerce platform, enabling customers to discover and purchase Amazon products directly within third-party digital experiences.

The platform integrated Amazon shopping capabilities into major consumer platforms, including Meta, Twitch, TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest.

Key Contributions

  • Founding Engineering Leadership: Helped launch and scale a zero-to-one platform reaching over 300 million users, contributing to more than $1 billion in revenue and delivering conversion rates up to 200 times higher than traditional advertising experiences.

  • High-Scale Distributed Systems: Architected and developed backend services capable of processing more than 100,000 transactions per second while maintaining sub-200-millisecond latency and 99.99% availability.

  • Technical Leadership: Provided technical direction to more than 30 engineers across two directorates, guiding system architecture, project execution, and cross-organizational engineering decisions.

  • Partner Integrations: Coordinated technical work across more than 30 dependencies to enable secure and seamless shopping experiences within partner platforms.

  • International Expansion: Reduced the time required to launch the platform in new countries from four months to just two days through infrastructure standardization, architectural improvements, and codebase refactoring.

At AWS, I worked on Amazon Macie, a cloud security service that helps organizations discover sensitive information and identify potential data security risks across their Amazon S3 environments.

My work focused on the distributed backend infrastructure responsible for scheduling and processing massive volumes of data, with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and security.

Key Contributions

  • Petabyte-Scale Processing: Developed and maintained distributed Java services responsible for scheduling and executing data scans across petabytes of Amazon S3 data.

  • Security and Compliance: Built infrastructure supporting the discovery of personally identifiable information (PII), helping more than 1,000 customers understand and manage sensitive data.

  • Feature Ownership: Led the end-to-end development of new scanning functionality using S3 bucket metadata to enable more targeted scanning operations, adopted by hundreds of customers.
